He was detailed as guard-cum-escort
of Shri Wungnaoshing Keishing, Hon'ble MLA,
Phungyar A/C and proceeded for Ukhrul along with the
Hon'ble MLA. While the party of Hon'ble MLA were
travelling in between Riha village & Yaingangpokpi, they were ambushed by the U.G. element and an
encounter ensued. The police escorts retaliated bravery and
could repulse the attack of the UGs and protect the
Hon'ble MLA. Unfortunately during the encounter, he was hit by bullet and
succumbed to the injuries. |
