On 29/10/1999 while an escort team of 8MR onsisting of Havildar No. 5681 Namshilung Kabui
were returning after General Election duty at Teikot Churachandpur District, Singhat Sub-Division, an ambush
was laid by UG group suspected to be PREPAK. During the ambush he sustained bullet injury and succumbed to
his injury at the spot. |
