On 30/04/1997 in an ambush by some unknown armed extremist at near Sapermeina, Senapati
District on the escort party of line buses along the
NH-39(presently NH-102) where he was detailed as driver. In the encounter he succumbed to
bullet injury. This refers to case FIR No. 38(4)97 of KPI PS U/S 121/121-A/302/307/326/397/427 IPC, 25(1-B) Arms Act and UA(P)
