On 18/09/1993 at about 3:45 p.m in
an ambush laid by some unknown armed extremists while he
along with escort party laid by OC Lamlai PS were returning to Lamlai PS from
Imphal in connection with FIR No. 77(9)93 of Lamlai PS
U/S 302/34 IPC and 25(1-B) Arms Act at crossing of
Sawombung bridge on Imphal Ukhrul Road near Sawombung
village in the Police jeep. In the encounter he was
killed due to hit by bullet. This Refers to case FIR
No.78(9)93 of Lamlai PS U/S 121/121-A/25(1-B) Arms act,
5 Expl.Sub.Act and 3(2)(1) TDA(P) Act. |
