On 11/10/1991, L/Naik No. 5819 K. Devakaran was on Bazar
protection duty at Thoubal Bazar and while he was on
duty in Thoubal bridge area in connection with a Thoubal
bandh, he was shot dead by some unknown armed youths
suspected to be PLA activist from a hidden place near
Thoubal bridge.
