On 01/09/1990, Rifleman Irom
Manglemjao Singh was on escort duty of I. D. Dinuanang,
Hon'ble Chairman Hill Area Committee at Chakumei,
Senapati District, Manipur. While travelling along the
Hon'ble Chairman, they were ambushed by hill based
Underground Group. Rifleman Irom Manglemjao Singh died
in action during the encounter/ambush with the U.G. at
about 1230 hrs. of the day. |
