On the night of 15/08/1985 a police party of Chakpikarong PS along with
Rifleman K. Bijoy Singh under the command of Jemadar Dil
Bahadur of 8th MR was on night patrolling duty at
Chakpikarong area, they had encountered with some
unknown miscreants believed to be NSCN members who
opened fire on the Police/MR patrolling party. During
the exchange of fire, he had sustained bullet injury on
the left side of his neck. Later, he was succumbed to
his injury on 22/10/1985 at SSKM Hospital, Kolkata.
